Why Do I Write This Rubbish.
I told one of my friends about my website and he asked me why I write this rubbish. And I call him a friend! I suppose at least he’s being honest.
I write this because I like writing. I don’t need readers.
Writing is a lot of fun. I love to write and I’ve done it for a long time before now. And I still love to write now just as much. I remember when I was young and at primary school I wrote so many short stories, I suspect my teacher got really bored reading all my stories. And she was amazed that I could write quite so much when I was so young. But I’m not sure that I’m any good at it, I just like it and so I keep at it.
I did a university degree when I got a bit older, but it didn’t include any writing, though I wish now it had. If I was young again and going to university all over again I’d think about doing some real study all about the art of writing. I studied what I needed to to get a job, I just wish I’d studied what I liked to do. That’s’ writing
I have no idea if I would ever have become good enough at writing to make a living at it, probably not, but I would have liked to have tried. You never know unless you try, and I wish I had tried more. I would have given it a really good go, and would have made a difference or maybe not.
I’m convinced writing is a real skill that can be learned. Of course not everyone can learn writing because there’s other important things as well. For example I think it’s essential that you love to write. That’s like anything. If you don’t love it you’re unlikely to keep at it long enough to learn the skill. It needs to be your life. It’s mine.
If you love it then you’ll take the time you need to take to develop it till you’re really good at it. It will take time but I’m sure it can be done. You need to work on it every day but if you love doing it then that’s no problem. That’s what I plan to do. If I get around to it.
So I have this website and this is where I’m going to practice my writing as much as I can. I have it here on the internet as it’s a convenient place to have it, but I really don’t intend for lots of people to come along and read it really, I just like to see it here.
It’s just about me and what I do each day, so it’s probably pretty boring to others. But if you’re someone reading this then I have at least one other visitor other than me, so thanks for visiting my website and I hope you find it interesting. I find it interesting writing it.
