Do You Choose To Live In The Country, I Do And It’s Great
I live in the country and I’m proud to tell you that. It’s great.
I just love living in the country and I’m happy to say so to anyone.
But one of the good things about the country is the birds. (I just love seeing birds).
Out here there are just so many birds, just so many. Hundreds of birds. It must be because they like the trees around here because theres always birds and they sit in the branches of the trees and eat the pods with their beaks and hold them in their claws and eat them one by one. Birds are good to watch.
Although I do like birds they do make a mess of my trees unfortunately. When they break off a small branch to eat the pods they drop them on the ground and it looks like a battlefield under my trees, bits of my branches everywhere. Just everywhere.
Mainly theyre parrots. They very colorful that I just love to sit and watch them sit in my trees. I even get them sitting on my veranda, sometimes if Im lucky I get them sitting right on the window. And theyre so colorful that I just sit still so I dont scare them away and watch them. And they don’t mind at all.
Now of course youve got to balance the damage the birds do with the benefits of having them around the house. And as I like to have the birds here I just have to put up with the tree damage. You have no choice.
Its got to be so much better out here than in the city. I’ll bet theres no birds like that in the city, none. Too many people to scare them off and no trees for them to eat. So they’re all out here. Read more

My Weekend Is All Over Now
Well it’s all over, the weekend is finished and it was great, though I’m sad it’s done. It was just fantastic to get away, I need to get away more often, it’s good for the mind. But it was a little hard starting quite so early. Too early for me I have to say.
6 in the morning is too early for me. Way too early. At 6 am even the birds aren’t even awake. It is completely dark and feels like it’s about 2am. It’s really hard to get out of bed at that time, though when you’ve got a weekend to go to it’s still worth getting up. Something to get up for, at least it was for me.
I had to get going on time to meet the other people who were coming, so I picked up my friend. But it took quite a while to get all his gear packed into the car, we were stuffing things into every space we could find in the trunk.
And what can you do about weather? It was raining. And for the last few months it’s been so great, warm good weather, just my luck that when I go away it’s raining. Really annoying to get bad weather.
We had to drive to the place where we were camping for the night. It was raining all the way but by the time we got there and get out it had pretty much stopped raining. That was good as I don’t like putting a tent up in the rain, especially heavy rain, and everything gets wet trying to get it all into the tent. And you sleeping bag gets all wet.
And the speed limits were all down too so we had to go slower than we should have.
But it was a good weekend. I caught a couple of fish there so I had fish to eat for dinner. What a treat. I’m looking forward to the next one, and I hope it isn’t raining this time.

If I Get To Go Away I’m Happy
I think it’s time for me to go away again, and I’m really looking forward to time off work.
Yeah, I get to go away this very weekend. I’m really looking forward to it heaps.
And this time I can’t go with my family because they have some sort of concert to go to that I’m not particularly fond of so they can’t come and I get to go with a friend of mine.
We are planning to camp in a tent. I have a great tent, canvas, water proof, big enough to be really comfortable and its forecast to rain, so I may need all of that. I hope it doesn’t rain though because rain isn’t what you need when you go camping.
We leave this Friday morning at about 6 am. We are meeting some other people at 9 and it will take about 4 hours to get where we’re meeting. I don’t really like getting up early in the morning, good thing I don’t have to too often.
But it’s not that much of a problem getting up early if you’ve got a holiday to get up for. And I’m looking forward to it so it’s not that much of a problem for me really.
But my car is quite old, very old actually, I really hope the car makes it there ok. It’s not that it’s breaking down or anything, in fact it goes pretty well eally. But it is old and I just keep my fingers crossed that it makes it and gets back home.
Saturday is going to be a brilliant day. Nothing planned at all, just a day to do nothing if you want. I plan to take fishing gear along and do some fishing and catch a fish, in fact I bought a new fishing rod this morning. Sadly I broke my old fishing rod a while ago, which was such a shame.
I made that fishing rod myself when I was about 25. I bought the blank and I also bought the whipping and the rod varnish and all the other bits and pieces that go into making a good fishing rod. I was pretty pleased with myself that I managed to make my own fishing rod, that’s cool.
Ive used that fishing rod for a lot of years now, and it was a sad day when I broke it and I don’t even know how I broke it, I was just walking through the trees and suddenly I noticed the tip of the rod broken off hanging in its own on the line. Boy was I annoyed.
It wasn’t worth a lot of money but it was to me. I mean I made that rod all by myself. And I broke it. So today I went back to the fishing shop and bought a rod, but it’s not as good as mine. Read more
